The Advantages

The Astral T centrepost is a commercial grade umbrella that weighs 50-70kg depending on the size. It is recommended that this umbrella be anchored into a substantial concrete slab, wooden deck or in ground. As this umbrella is designed to handle greater than normal wind loads correct installation is  essential. Extremely sturdy and robust. Opens and closes easily above furniture. All materials are fully corrosion resistant. Easy replacement of white canopy. Colours are available for canopies. Wind rated up to 80km.

 The Frame

The robust frame structure is made of premium aluminium sections ( 40x20x2mm ), which connect to an impressive, heavy duty mast ( 80mmx3mm wall ). The telescopic tube enables easy opening and closing, while folding above your furniture to maximize space.The entire frame is anodized for stylish appearance and long life. The Mechanics

The heavy duty tension mechanism is operated by a robust "easy wind" internal winch system, which allows extremely efficient and fasting tension. A specially designed handle allows for smooth efficient operation. German engineering and ingenuity.

The Canopy

A premium 100% hand made heavy duty acrylic canvas in your choice of colour. Umbrella unit has a water column of 400mm making it extremely water proof. Additionally it is fade and rot resistant and comes with a 5 year warranty against material breakdown.

The Astral T comes to you fully assembled with canopy attached for easy and immediate installation.

Installation Options - Fittings

In groung Fitting - for installation in lawn / ground  - made of galvanised steel, the in ground fitting is extremely strong and will not rust. The diameter is 215mm, height 500mm. Installing an in ground fitting requires digging a suitable sized hole pouring concrete and placing the fitting into the concrete. The spigot is then bolted onto the in groung fitting.

Heavyweight Base Plate -  for installation onto a timber decking or concrete slab / patio the diameter is 400mm and 1/4" thick and is powdercoated and galvanised.
